Part 2/12:
The Acolyte was announced with high expectations, but in reality, it underperformed catastrophically. The series reportedly cost around $180 million, yet it failed to attract significant viewership, leading many to consider it an expensive misstep from the beginning. While some fans did enjoy aspects of the show and voiced their support, this minority was hardly enough to save the series from its fate. The majority of Star Wars fans, having sampled the product, expressed overwhelmingly negative reactions, citing poor storytelling, lackluster characters, and a departure from what made Star Wars beloved in the first place.
