However, the plan quickly unraveled as multiple projects faced cancellations, recasting, and flops. Films like Wonder Woman 84, Black Adam, Shazam! Fury of the Gods, and The Flash largely underperformed or failed to impress critics and audiences. The only bright spot appeared to be The Batman, which was produced outside of Gunn’s DCU, and received modest acclaim.
