Ironheart is considered by many critics as arguably Marvel’s worst outing—worse than Secret Invasion, The Marvels, or Echo, which were also critically panned. Unlike those projects, which stemmed from poorly executed concepts, Ironheart’s failure lies rooted in misguided writing, rushed production, and an overemphasis on political messaging at the expense of engaging storytelling.
