"Alien Earth" aims to introduce new ideas—finally taking the franchise to Earth and mixing in species and technology previously explored only in expanded media. The series is set 2 years before Alien and explores themes like cyborgs, synthetic humans, and hybrids, with a narrative that involves a spaceship returning from a deep-space mission with alien specimens—including a xenomorph.

The series also introduces an environment where humans can transfer consciousness into robot bodies—a concept that, if handled well, could be intriguing. Yet, the execution appears superficial, with dialogue and exposition that lean heavily on lazy narration rather than meaningful character development or thoughtful exploration of ideas.
