A Disheartening Departure from Legacy and Originality

Tron Aries is undeniably a legacy sequel, but in a way that alienates longstanding fans. Instead of building on the story of Sam Flynn from Legacy, the film replaces him with a new, diverse female protagonist—Eve Kim—whose character is poorly developed, largely reduced to exposition dumps, and lacks depth.
