Content and Clichés: A New Low for Marvel

The final episodes showcased some of Marvel’s worst tendencies:

• A ridiculous citywide lockdown—with Daredevil and Kingpin essentially establishing martial law after a failed assassination attempt—was a blatant, over-the-top attempt to mimic The Dark Knight Rises, but with less logic and more spectacle.

• The plot insisted on moral lectures delivered by characters like the Punisher and new female characters, who served more as voiceovers than as real people. These characters often existed solely to criticize or lecture Matt Murdock, adding nothing substantive to the story.
