The Amazon series The Rings of Power is universally regarded as a colossal disaster—characterized by inexperienced showrunners, lazy writing, and a focus on virtue-signaling rather than narrative coherence. The show's inflated budget of hundreds of millions did little to hide its fundamental flaws: a shallow story, terrible CGI, and a cast that includes too many unknown and unremarkable actors.

Similarly, Wheel of Time has sunk into obscurity, with declining viewership and poor reviews. Notably, the series was criticized for its queer-coded characters and deviation from Tolkien and Jordan’s source material, which alienated many fans. The production's attempts at modern, politically correct storytelling led to a loss of credibility with traditional and new audiences alike.
