In the wake of these statements, reports and rumors proliferated. Some portrayed the Ray movie as being in dire straits, with whispers about problematic scripts and storyline ideas—some even suggesting a pregnant Rey Skywalker as a plot point. While these rumors sounded outlandish, the underlying concern was whether the project was actually progressing at all.

A Persistent Issue: No Script Yet

One of the most significant updates came from actress Daisy Ridley herself. In a late November interview, Ridley revealed that she had not yet read a script for the new Star Wars film set to focus on Rey's character. Back then, it was expected that the screenplay would be completed before the end of that year, but that deadline visibly passed without results.
