Part 3/9:
Instead of an organic development of her abilities—arcane or culturally rooted—the show attributes her powers to her Native American ancestry. She is depicted as a "girl boss," drawing strength from her lineage of powerful women. Each of her ancestors had extraordinary traits: one was strategic, another a healer, and she herself inherited all these abilities seemingly at random. This storyline feels contrived and clumsy, heavy-handedly tying her power set to her ethnic heritage without meaningful narrative depth, making the entire concept come off as cringe-worthy.
