In late October 2025, Threeey Atlas was set to pass behind the Sun at perihelion, a region where objects often experience extreme thermal and gravitational stresses. Historically, comets like ISON and Lovejoy have been destroyed or drastically altered at perihelion, yet some have survived or even activated, transforming into new phenomena.

Given its peculiar properties, some scientists speculated Threeey Atlas might not merely be a natural object but could be artificially engineered or enhanced. If so, the perihelion event might trigger its activation—possibly revealing a technological component hidden within or causing it to exhibit behaviors inconsistent with natural celestial bodies.
