The tension surrounding this disagreement ultimately played a part in Leadon’s decision to leave the band. In hindsight, there was recognition that had they adopted a more balanced approach to their touring and engagement, they may have all benefited in terms of longevity and health. This era of the Eagles began to shift significantly, marking the beginning of complexities that would later define their relationships.
