Bob Denver, famous for his portrayal of Gilligan, reminisced about the very first episode of the series, which aired 25 years ago. He spoke about how Gilligan's character often found himself in comical predicaments due to his clumsiness, much to the exasperation of his fellow castaways. Denver humorously noted that Gilligan’s attempts to be helpful typically backfired, leading others to wish he would simply stand aside.
