On the defensive side, the Packers managed only one sack, and the pass rush seemed almost nonexistent against Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold. Darnold delivered a career performance, completing 33 of 43 passes for 377 yards and three touchdowns. The inability to pressure Darnold allowed him to dissect the Packers’ secondary, which was particularly vulnerable in the absence of star cornerbacks.
Despite the overall struggles, there were bright spots for the Packers, most notably in the run defense, which has consistently shown promise this season. Although running back Aaron Jones was again held under 50 yards, Jacobs managed nearly 70 yards with one touchdown, showcasing some potential for growth in the run attack.
