In addition to their dealings with Alonzo, the Mets are reportedly serious players in the pursuit of Alex Bregman, the All-Star third baseman. Recent reports suggest that the Mets are among the finalists looking to secure Bregman’s services, particularly in light of the Detroit Tigers recently acquiring Gleyber Torres on a one-year deal.
