As stated by Mar Shapiro, the president and CEO of the Blue Jays, the franchise continues to grapple with the question of whether they need a dedicated baseball stadium. Though the latest renovations have provided some degree of modernization, the possibility of a new stadium remains on the table for the future.

The Blue Jays have not reached a definitive conclusion; however, the likelihood of revisiting the notion of a new stadium within the next few years stands high given the landscape of modern sports venues. Should it come to that, the lessons learned from past moves by other franchises could provide guidance in the search for both location and design.
