The Bizarre Courtroom and Trial
One of the most famous scenes features Alice in a court where the Queen of Hearts accuses the Knave of Hearts of stealing tarts. The proceedings are nonsensical—witnesses are questioned, and rules are arbitrarily applied. Alice notices the absurdity of the trial, such as the jury of cards and the executioner’s hasty threats.
