The shooting commenced at approximately 10:57 a.m. when a second-grade student called 911, reporting that shots had been fired within the school grounds. Upon receiving the call, authorities acted swiftly, with the first officers arriving on the scene by 11:00 a.m. Their immediate actions showed commendable bravery, as they entered the building to assess and neutralize the threat without hesitation.
By 11:05 a.m., officers had confirmed that the shooter was down, and a firearm had been recovered. At this time, a process began to establish a reunification center for concerned parents and guardians.
