In the recent discussion, Engineer Chon Ala, the chairman of the B Ley local government area in Lagos State, elucidated that, despite the Supreme Court's judgment, local government funds still largely flow through a state-controlled joint account system. This raises important questions about the real efficacy of the ruling. While he acknowledged that the state had previously managed funds efficiently through joint meetings, it highlighted that no substantial changes had occurred post-judgment.
