Luigi Mangione was not a figure on law enforcement's radar until recently. With no prior arrests, he had a background characterized by academic excellence and a supportive family environment. Mangione graduated as valedictorian from Gilman High School in Maryland in 2016, demonstrating remarkable intelligence and leadership skills. He furthered his education at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania, where he earned both bachelor's and master's degrees in computer science and mathematics.
