Part 2/7:

Despite this glimmer of hope, the dark legacy of Fëanor's sons loomed heavily over their efforts. Nargothrond, wounded by the treachery of Celegorm and Curufin, refused to march under their command, complicating their plans for a united front. Only the brave Gwindor defied his king’s orders, leading a small company under Fingon’s banner into Dorthonion.

King Thingol, incensed by the demands of the sons of Fëanor, fortified his borders. Nonetheless, two factions—Marlong and B—ventured forth with their king's blessing toward the forthcoming battle. Maedros found unexpected strength in the Dwarves of Nogrod and Belegost, who provided weapons and support. Fingon rallied the men of Hador and the elves of the Noldor in Brethil, all too aware that the future of all races lay on this battlefield.
