The prepared batter is poured into a greased and lined baking tray measuring approximately 40x30 cm. It’s important to spread the batter evenly, leaving space around the edges. The cake is then baked in a preheated oven set to 180 degrees Celsius for about 15 to 20 minutes. Keeping a watchful eye will ensure it doesn’t overbake; the aim is to achieve a light golden color.
Creating the Coconut Filling
While the chocolate cake bakes, the filling can be prepared easily. It requires just two components: condensed milk and shredded coconut. Mixing these two ingredients until well blended results in a creamy filling that perfectly complements the chocolate cake.
