Part 2/4:
Start by whisking the 2 eggs in a bowl for about a minute.
Add 1 cup of oil (or butter/margarine) and beat again for another minute until well combined.
Gradually incorporate 1.5 cups of sugar, mixing it well for one more minute.
Now, introduce 0.5 cups of cocoa powder, followed by 1.5 cups of hot water. Ensure that the water is almost boiling.
Add 1 tablespoon of baking powder and 1 teaspoon of baking soda. Mix everything together.
Finally, stir in 2 cups of all-purpose flour until the batter is smooth and well-combined.
Your cake batter should look lovely and ready to go!
Baking the Cake
- Preheat your oven to 170ºC (about 338ºF). If you’re using a conventional oven, set it to 180ºC (approximately 356ºF).
