Assembling the Cake

Carefully cut each cake in half horizontally. It helps to use toothpicks to mark where you’ll cut to ensure even slices. The bottom layer will be brushed with milk for additional moisture.

Start layering by placing the first cake layer on a platter, spreading a layer of ganache, followed by a layer of the cream mixture with berries. Continue this process for each layer, alternating between ganache and cream for added flavor and texture.

Let the assembled cake rest in the refrigerator for at least two hours, but overnight is ideal to allow flavors to meld.
