His previous year at Jackson State didn't yield the results he had hoped for, with limited visibility and accolades. However, upon transferring to Colorado, where expectations were low, he believed in his potential. "I always thought and then the first thing I did when I went to Colorado was take a picture in front of the Heisman Trophy and told him Heisman loading," he reminisced. Little did he know, just over a year later, he would hold that trophy in his hands.
