Locked in a tiny dog cage alongside another abducted child, Anna tries to initiate conversation, but her fellow captive remains unresponsive. Mario’s twisted justification for his actions mirrors his perception of Anna before the outbreak, as he once regarded her as a spoiled rich girl unworthy of respect. Now, he arrogantly treats her as a pet, chaining her down and forcing her into labor, with his brother's dream of building a cellar as the cruel pretext for his sadism.
