Amidst this, Tim, their boss, is introduced—a seemingly benign figure, whose sudden disappearance later raises red flags for the detectives. Unbeknownst to the group, he becomes entranced by a peculiar Mickey Mouse mask that leads him down a sinister path.

As the group settles in for what they think is a joyful night, they are unaware of the lurking danger. The arrival of mysterious guests in mascot costumes and than the disappearance of their phones creates an unsettling undertone. Despite Alex's increasing unease, her friends dismiss her concerns, continuing to engage in their surprise celebration.
