Part 2/8:
The superheroes were contacted by Dr. Grant, a renowned scientist who proposed to enhance their powers using a substance called gamma 13 radiation. Dark forces were at play, and unbeknownst to them, this experiment resulted in Concussion falling victim to hypnosis, transforming him from a hero into a villain. The ensuing battle between the two brothers proved disastrous; Captain Zoom lost his powers, leaving him as an ordinary man.
As tensions mounted, Dr. Grant alerted the secret U.S. Government base about Concussion’s survival, indicating that the villain was drawing closer. Anxiously aware of the situation, the base’s sergeant ordered a reactivation of the Zenith program and sought to gather new heroes to fight against Concussion's ominous return.
