Ben, a shy and introverted student, finds himself tormented by a school bully named Jason. After witnessing Jason pick on one of his classmates, Ben decides to stand up for his peers and confronts the bully, which leads to a series of complications when Jason tries to retaliate. In an attempt to evade Jason's wrath, Ben hides in the restroom, where he begins to grapple with feelings of fear and isolation.
Having recently moved to the city with his mother, Liz, after her wedding to Phil, Ben struggles to find his place in a new school environment. His social awkwardness only amplifies the challenges he faces, leading him to become an easy target for Jason's relentless bullying.
