The story begins with Joseph, who, while driving a truck full of hospital waste, becomes distracted by his phone, leading him to accidentally run over a deer. In his rushed state, he neglects to notice that a barrel of toxic waste has rolled into a nearby lake. Days later, this toxic substance contaminates the local wildlife, particularly the beavers, ushering in the outbreak that transforms these once-docile creatures into aggressive zombies.
