The film opens with Frederico Olsen, a man shrouded in mystique, participating in a blood ritual. The setting is surreal: a dimly lit room filled with an eerie tension, where we soon learn that his obsession with a beautiful young woman named Franchesca drives him to perform dangerous acts. His ritual, however, has dire consequences. The ritualistic act draws forth a dark force that eventually spills over into Franchesca's life when an innocent sofa arrives at her doorstep.

The avaricious delivery of the sofa, meant for Franchesca, underscores the film's uncanny ability to weave horror into the mundane.
