As the narrative shifts to 1984, we see Diana living on Earth among humans, dedicating her life to protecting them from their worst inclinations. Following a robbery at an antique store, Diana's alter ego, Wonder Woman, intervenes to save a girl by using her lasso of truth on the criminals, showcasing her prowess and commitment to justice. However, she grapples with the pain of losing her first love, Steve Trevor, which haunts her throughout the film.
