Part 4/8:

As Joe explores his new home, he discovers that it is inhabited by a host of chatty cockroaches. This discovery marks the turning point of the narrative, illustrating themes of acceptance and the humor found in the unusual. The cockroaches swell with joy, relieved to find a human who doesn’t immediately want to squash them. Their antics provide comic relief while also creating a unique bond between Joe and his new companions.

Despite the cockroaches’ questionable hygiene, their camaraderie serves as a much-needed support system for Joe. However, the pressures from the criminals looming over him continue to mount, giving rise to conflicts that provide tension in an otherwise whimsical story.
