According to Miss Minutes, a multifarious war once ravaged the multiverse, and in its aftermath, the Timekeepers emerged to maintain order by pruning branches of timelines that deviated from their designed paths. Loki, now branded as a variant, learns he is at risk of being reset—a fate resulting in total erasure from existence. Attempting to escape employs his usual tricks, but Loki soon discovers that his powers are rendered useless within the TVA.
