Meanwhile, at a nearby farm, farmer Tom and his brother George are drawn into the fray as their daughter Sue screams amidst bizarre occurrences. After finding strange messages written in the cornfield, it becomes evident that something supernatural is afoot. Concurrently, reporter Cindy Campbell begins investigating these oddities, suspecting an alien invasion that no one takes seriously.

As Cindy navigates her relationships, her nephew Cody's artwork depicts eerie images of the cursed girl from the well. The storyline thickens when a series of mishaps culminate in a car crash that miraculously spares Cody’s life. As the tension rises, Cindy becomes entangled in the fight against the curse that threatens her family.
