As Surly attempts to gather food independently, he learns that the animals still need a plan to help him succeed. Andy hustles to form a team effort back in the park, rallying the groundhogs and enlisting their assistance to dig tunnels for the food. However, a power struggle emerges under the charismatic but manipulative leadership of Norv Virus, leading to betrayal.
Surly fights an uphill battle, torn between his independence and the realization that he ultimately needs his friends. Miscommunication and manipulation result in a rift between him and his fellow animals, culminating in dramatic confrontations with both the gang of thieves and Norv himself.
