Twenty years later, Princess Poppy has grown and now devotes herself to serving her people, maintaining the peace achieved over the years. Unbeknownst to them, fear still lingers within Branch, a cautious troll always on the lookout for impending danger from the Bergens.
During a grand celebration, the trolls' joy is interrupted when the chef from the Bergen city captures several of Poppy’s friends, propelling Poppy back into the role of a fearless leader. She enlists Branch, who initially resists but eventually joins her on a daring mission to rescue the captured trolls.
