Fueled by a personal vendetta, Arthur embarks on a series of investigations into Terror's activities. During one of his nighttime excursions, he encounters The Tick, who shares his belief that a gang operating in the area is working for the elusive villain. Their alliance is formed, albeit with complications, as The Tick’s clumsy antics and unpredictable nature complicate and often thwart their attempts at uncovering the truth.
As Arthur's backstory unfolds, we learn of the harrowing accident that claimed his father's life during a battle involving superhumans—a tragic event that fuels his quest for retribution against Terror.
