Part 2/9:

The film opens in the heart of Mississippi in 1964. In a dark and eerie basement, a chained monstrosity manages to free itself, leaving a trail of terror in its wake. As it wanders into the neighboring woods, a couple, Caroline and Eli, who are lost during a road trip, unknowingly cross paths with the lurking danger. At a convenience store, they receive directions, but the journey takes a dire turn when their car gets stuck in wet leaves.
