Part 2/8:

As Mark struggles to make sense of his predicament, he attempts to gain a view of the outside world through his window, discovering neighbors banging on their own windows, seemingly also trapped. Compounding the mystery, he notices men in hazmat suits patrolling the neighborhood. Driven by a sense of desperation, Mark resorts to grabbing a hammer and attempting to break through the door but injures himself in the process. In a moment that shifts the tides of the narrative, Sergey, a hot-headed boy, along with his younger brother Nico, breaks into Mark's apartment through a hole in the wall, revealing that the entire floor has been tampered with from the outside.
