As events spiral out of control, the boy is threatened with sacrifice. An uprising triggered by his sister Dove creates a schism between the two factions of women—those loyal to Taksan and those who support Queen Sumeru. Amidst the ensuing chaos, Adam seizes the opportunity to escape, but not without complications.

During a harrowing sequence, Adam is injured by a poisoned arrow while attempting to board the spaceship. A fierce showdown erupts between Taksan and Sumeru, who champions Adam and Jake, leading to a tense negotiation where the queen eventually saves Adam's life with an antidote.
