As the years roll by, Morpheus witnesses the degradation of both his essence and the world he once ruled. He observes the corrupting influence of Lord Magus's greed, culminating in a struggle between familial aspirations and personal agency. Alex's rebellion against his father's tyranny grows, but resulting conflicts lead to calamity—the death of Magus instigates a violent awakening within Morpheus, whose imposition of eternal sleep on Alex serves as both revenge and a grim retribution against years of oppression.
