Upon regaining consciousness, JFK is bombarded with questions about his situation, but the Lifeboat team provides him with a fabricated story to keep him calm. However, anxiety drives the young Kennedy to escape through a concealed tunnel, prompting a frantic search by Wyatt and his colleagues, who know that his survival is crucial. If JFK does not live to fulfill his role as president, the ramifications could be catastrophic, including the dissolution of the Peace Corps and abandonment of the Civil Rights Act.
