One can possess the physiological attributes of life—a pulse, a breath—yet still sleepwalk through existence, oblivious to the beautiful gifts present in our lives. The real question, then, lies in our conscious awareness and engagement with this fleeting journey. We are called to notice, to recognize the choices at our disposal and the critical junctures that define our paths.
