Upon spotting a larger ship named Aolis, the fisherman’s curiosity compels him to investigate after unsuccessfully calling out for help. His decision to tie his boat to Aolis marks the beginning of his disturbing journey aboard the empty vessel. Upon stepping inside, he finds basic supplies but no living soul, heightening the sense of isolation.

Mysterious Disappearances and Haunting Noises

As the fisherman re-emerges onto the deck, he discovers that his small boat has inexplicably vanished. In an attempt to start Aolis and navigate back to safety, he faces futility when the engine fails him. The isolation turns into paranoia as he experiences odd occurrences—like a closing bathroom door and unexplained noises from the radio—which compound his desperation.
