Part 2/8:
The story begins with Patch, a middle-aged man who, confronted with the burdens of life, grapples with severe depression and suicidal thoughts. To find help, he voluntarily admits himself to the psychiatric ward at Fairfax Hospital. Here, he meets a variety of patients who share their struggles, from an elderly man fixated on asking how many fingers are held in front of him, to his roommate Rudy, who is distracted by imaginary squirrels. As Patch engages with these individuals, he becomes disillusioned with the hospital's focus on medication rather than understanding and addressing their deeper issues.
