On a tense Friday evening, Jennifer is stressed as she rushes out of the office to catch a flight to New York for Valentine's Day—a trip set to reunite her with her ex-fiancé. In stark contrast, Guy, leaving his workplace on a lower floor, bumps into Jennifer while waiting for the elevator. Their exchange is awkward at first, with Guy attempting light conversation, but Jennifer seems preoccupied.

As the elevator ascends, it unexpectedly halts, trapping them within its confines. Attempts to summon help through buttons and alarms yield no results; their phones are rendered useless underground. Tension builds as minutes turn into hours, with Jennifer displaying signs of anxiety over her missed flight, while Guy's humor begins to weigh heavily on her.
