Confronted with intense violence aboard the enemy vessel, Kora clashing with Atticus leads to a brutal face-off: a life-or-death fight that shifts the balance in their favor. With the ship compromised due to the explosion from a bomb Kora set, she and Gunnar barely escape, but not without significant loss, as Gunnar succumbs to injuries while in Kora’s arms.
