Russia’s military presence in and around Ukraine is substantial, but the forces that could be redeployed for a Baltic invasion are limited by current commitments. Approximately 700,000 Russian troops are involved in Ukraine, with roughly 200,000 frontline personnel and additional supporting units, including air forces and navy assets. However, most of these forces are engaged in Ukraine, making the redeployment for an invasion of the Baltics complex and potentially time-consuming.
