However, during our stay, we learned that many reported incidents stem from careless tourists rather than systemic dangers. A common scenario involved tourists naively leaving their belongings unattended or using their devices in unsafe areas. Through our exploration, we realized that by employing basic street smarts—similar to those we would use in tourist hotspots worldwide—one can safely enjoy Brazil.
