So, looking up all the options... To be able to make @reminder.ping run 24/7, I have to pay $120 a year in advance. The Free Tier will only be able to run it for maybe 7 days per month. I have to test it to make sure.

The main problem is the bandwidth, it'll have to read the whole blockchain's comments for the whole month! I don't think any Free deployment server can handle that!

Sort:

Paying 120 dollar is a huge money you know and am sure you made it here?

Won't be paying that much UNLESS I know this app will get me back more than that... Will you be paying for a feature like "!RemindMe in 1 hour"

I'm currently running the bot from my computer so I'm not paying anything yet. Have to consider all the options!

@reminder.ping is an experimental bot. It's currently running on a local machine for a few hours per day so your notifications may come late and you might experience some inconviences. Still, your support is highly apprecieated.

Attention @ahmadmanga!! Here's your reminder to check back on this conversation!

Can it require some kind of actions to get whitelisted the first time, so it doesn't have to read "all" of the comments but just the ones from the people listed?

The way I programmed it, the app has to read all of the blockchain comments or it won't work.

Wait... Your idea might work... Or not, there's a chance it'll use as much bandwidth if the list of whitelisted users was too long. It'll check each user's recent comments separately in never-ending a loop. Hmmmm... It may work? Not sure... I'll think about it more.

Just remembered that it'll have to read the blockchain anyway to find the people wanting to be into the whitelist. Good idea, but I can't implement it.

Thanks for the suggesion, though.

True, if it were a fixed list it would be different, It wouldn't be automated. I don't program but I've been learning to do somethings where my idea does work haha but it is not a bot running on its own
